My Bao Bei...

So I've just realised that my blog don't really have pictures of living beings. Hmm.. come, let me introduce you to My Rottweilers!!

Now, the one to the left is Sidney and the one on the right is SamSam.
Cute or not??

I love them to bits. Sidney is the alpha male and SamSam is a female doggie. SamSam is pure breed but Sidney is mixed. Notice how Sidney is smaller than SamSam... Poor thing.. Always kena bully by SamSam. Once, SamSam's huge butt knocked him over the edge and he fell of the stairs. Haiyo.. And when they fight, Sidney will always lose as SamSam would climb over him every single time.
See, that's what he get for not eating and always wanting to diet. Then SamSam would also eat his food after she has finished hers. And that is why one must eat more to survive!!

As a girly dog, SamSam like to camwhore too... Isn't she pretty??
Whenever I tried to take pictures of Sidney, she would try to pull me away by tugging onto my hair...Poor Sidney and poor me..

Told you SamSam likes the limelight. That is why I could not get many pictures of Sidney..

Alright, I found one of Sidney. However, he looks pretty sad here.. I think it was probably cause I woke him up from his afternoon nap. Sorry....

Okay, so the above two rottweilers are my dogs. Now I'm gonna let you see my neighbour's dogs that I also love and must pet everytime I walk by their house. Or sometimes when we drive past, I'll ask mom to stop the car and I would run down and give them a pet on their heads.

As I had no idea what her real name is, I just call her Ji Bao Bei cause she reminded me so much of a cute dog from a drama I've watched last time. And to my surprise, she responds to that name whenever I call her. Ji Bao Bei would jump up and down but sometimes bites (friendly bite) whenever we stop over to sayang her. A very active and playful pup. Muaxxxx.....

Ji Bao Bei... So cute....

Ji Bao Bei also has an elder brother. Since I have no idea what his name is as well, sis and I call him Chow Chow... Coz he looks like a little lion and is pretty smelly sometimes...

Baby Chow Chow :D

My offer letter to Aberdeen just came. And what a coincidence, mom just told me a few days ago to get a list and start writing down stuff that I should pack along when I go over there. But knowing me, as such a last minute person, would I even think of a list right now... No way Jose!! But to make mom happy, she wanted a list.. Fine, I made a list. So far... I've already got 4 necessities that I NEED & MUST BRING OVER!!!

Since I could not bring my living bao bei there, I can only bring my non-living ones. Even if I can't fit them into my 20kg luggage limit, I swear I'll hand carry them on board (not like I've never done it before)... The pig, puppy, polar and panda bear will hail to Scotland with me. I'll make sis bring my giant pooh bearbear (My SP for OSCE practise...) when she comes to visit later on.
Everyone needs something to make them feel at home when they are away.. And these would be my something.

Mrs. World

Had no choice but to follow mom and watch Mrs. World today cause she was holding the remote.. Yep you didnt read it wrong alright. It was Mrs. World indeed. Not Miss... At 1st I thought I was watching Miss also... Until I realised why were they all thirty something women... Not the usual you know, young looking ... 18,19 year olds..

What I found really funny was when the announcer said that there were only 3 criteria for a woman to enter this beauty pageant. They were:-
  • She would have to be married
  • She would have to be more than 18 years of age or more
  • She would have to be a citizen of the country that she is representing
I was thinking to myself and decided that the announcer had forgotten the most important criteria of all.... "That she would have to be BEAUTIFUL". You know what I mean. At least must look presentable lor. If not, any tom, dick and harry also that you pick from the street can enter laa...
The show was hilarious. Some of them could not even walk properly in heels. And to top it off, last year winner had to show off her opera skills. As if I'm interested in what the last year winner can do. At least show what this year's contestants are talented in.

If Only...

Yes!!! I've found the one!!!! The one and only one that I should have. Ever felt that, that something should be yours and yours only? That you would just look and be perfect when you're with it?? That you'd just feel so special if you have it......If only it was mine............... Then I can wear it whenever I want.. Yes I was talking a bout a Trench Coat. What else can IT be?? Hahhaha

I found my beloved at Zara Pavilion a few days ago. Once I wore it, I did not wanna take it off. It felt so soft on the inside and it looked good on the outside. I should have taken a picture of it but phone was out of battery. The amount of times I spent turning left, then right, then twirl around.... I think mom got fed up-she left me half way. Yea.. I've gone a bit mad that day. And then I took it off. Took a walk around the shop to see what Nigel and Nicholas were up to... Then went back to the rack, took the coat and tried it on again. =] Told ya I was a little crazy.

Nigel got a really cool jacket that day. Biker style.. haha.. Now all he needs are additional leather gloves and dark glasses.. Just kidding. The jacket looked really nice on him and it was reasonable as well. So "Things at Zara are not that expensive, you just have to know where to look"

Or so I was told, but that statement SO DID NOT apply to my beloved trench. Costing RM499.00!!!! NO DISCOUNT!!! NO REBATE!!! NO NOTHING!!!! It costs half of my one month's salary!! How am I gonna get it?? Would anyone really spend nearly half of 1K just to get a coat? I know Becky Bloomwood would.. (The girl from Confessions of a Shopaholic- Dont watch the movie. The book is way better) She would have gotten it in 2 colours. But I'm not Becky Bloomwood YET. If not that coat would be in my closet right now.

Went for shopping at Mid Valley yesterday. And I think you can guess what I did. Yep... I went into Zara to try on that coat again.. I could not help myself. Hahha... Should I buy it?? RM499.00 for a coat... Should I???

Sigh.. If only it was on sale... If only there was a 50% discount.. If only my pay was higher... If only I could have gotten an end year bonus.. Dream on... I'm dreaming right now... Really am....

Ok since I dont really have the picture, imagine this.. But the one I want is a whole lot better ;]

I've Personally Declared WAR Against The Typewriter!!!

Why??
1) Its Stupid
2) Its dumb
3) Had never use 1 in my life till today -So its not really needed in one's life ( I Hope I really dont need it in the future!! Please oh please...)
4) Makes a hell of a noise
5) Has to sit in a place that makes you sweat like crazy when you type
6) Cant simply delete- Must go back to the original position than only can delete... So you'll have to measure here and there- Siao...
7) Can never figure out the margins...
8) Takes ages for me to just type a simple thing... REALLY LONG LONG TIME!!!

I JUST HATE USING U... WHO EVER INVENTED SUCH A THING?!?!!

Saturday FOOD Extravagance!!!!

Yummy...yummy...yummy...
It all started with nasi kandar on Saturday 12am. Right on time... Yep... u didnt read it wrong, alright. I only went for nasi at past 12am!

See my plate of nasi kandar!!! Very the ho chiak!! Every type of curry and some special curry spice was poured onto the rice. I even asked for lebih kuah that night. On the far left in my nasi kandar picture is the dark coloured curry chicken. And I can never go to mamak without ordering my limau ais. That one is my must have!! If no this, then must have milo ais.

This one is with fried chicken instead. Not too bad also.

My tennis buddy and coach once told me before that I was not considered a true Malaysian until I've had my share of nasi kandar. And since my first try, I really liked it till today. I've tried nasi kandar in many places but still, I find the one in SS2- Original Kayu the best. (The one along the SS2 pasar malam). But mind you, its not cheap. A plate with just chicken cost me RM6 that night. I went there once with a good friend of mine (who has not tried nasi kandar before) and instead of just chicken, we decided to add mutton to the chicken- costing us more than RM10 EACH PLATE. I actually got a shock of my life that day when the waiter told me my bill. I just didn't tell my friend how in shock I was. Wonder if he got a shock too?? Lol

Ok. Back to the present. I also ordered Roti Tissue that night. There those pictures above is the roti tissue lor. At first I didn't even know what it was. I just pointed to my neighbours table and told the waiter, "Ya I nak itu". That was when the waiter told me that the "itu" I wanted was roti tissue. Now this is no ordinary roti tissue. It is 4 plates long and is covered in condensed milk and sugar. Sweet!!! And Nice!!! And soooo Crispy!!!

How could dinner be complete without Ais kacang tambah ais krim on the top???

I had dinner at 12am and I went to bed at 2am. Very unhealthy. My policy again "Eat first, worry later laaaa"

Then came Saturday morning (Got up past noon but still morning to me) ... MUFFINS day.

Made Blueberry and Chocolate Chip Muffins with mom on saturday morning/noon. I did the folding aka mixing too. Hard work you know. Ever tried raw flour, butter, sugar, baking powder, milk and eggs?? Eh it's actually not too bad. Reminded me of my IMU orientation. Just that it didn't taste that good coming out of my T-shirt and hair the last time ;P

There you go. Freshly baked homemade muffins......

Eh these are real muffins... Not copy paste from cookbook.

Another picture of the muffins... Looks pretty or not :D I think they turned out okay. At least none were burnt. Taste pretty good too. My experiment with Milo on 1 of them turned out way toooo sweet though.

Then there was also the very nice Luk Mei Tong Sui that Mr. Yap brought for me and khee lung all the way from Jalan Ipoh to klcc. Thank you Mr. Yap. Hehehe.. As I was too sleepy to eat it after nasi kandar on friday, I only had it the day after. Cheap and nice and still fresh even after being kept for one day.

Err... It doesn't look so nice in this picture though. It didn't look this bad in real life. Seriously... Right Mr. Yap?? Right Mr. Yong??

Okay... so we've gone from rice to roti to muffins.... tong sui... oh I forgot the ais kacang... So what is the other thing I didnt eat yet??

Noodle... More specific would be Pan Mee. How can I eat everything and leave this one out rite? No way!! Theres this restaurant called Kin Kin in Pandan Indah (next to the Kesas Highway), and its my favourite place for pan mee. It was introduced to me by a fellow IMU batchmate of mine. Warning: Do not go there during lunch time. Either go before or after lunch as you'd have to wait to just find a table if you go there during lunch hours. Coach!! I shall bring you there 1 day.

Err...the far left is chee sui (soup) and those in the middle and the right is the kwan loh ones. Need to eat both maa.... Then only syok.
A lot of my IMU friends have tried this before and I'm sure they would agree with me that the pan mee here is really GUUUUUUD. Lol...
Remember what the secret ingredient was???

The chili flakes lor.....

So see the amount of food I had in 1 Saturday. Actually I somemore had dai chao for dinner and I didn't mention my breakfast- light breakfast. But I think it'll b too much already....
So is it a lot or not?? :D

I'll Do It My Way

Malaysians will always be Malaysians. Even when there is no place to squeeze, they must squeeze in to sit down. I was in a jam packed LRT the other day and a lady who was sitting exactly in front of me got down at the KL Sentral Station. Ooh... An empty seat... Should I sit down or give it to the aunty (she looked way older than me) beside me?? I was still thinking until...
A lady who STOOD BEHIND ME had to squeeze and push her big fat giant a** and sat down without even asking if I wanted to sit. May I remind you that she looked younger than me. Excuse me woman...
Not that I was intending to sit, but still... So RUDE!!! How can one be just so ignorant? So you think you're big, you can take my seat is it?? ..... Yep she took MY seat. Couldn't say anything about it .

When someone crosses the road, you can somehow tell if that person is Malaysian or not. A Malaysian would cross the road like he/she owns it.. But a non-malaysian would never or more like can never do such a thing as they not as pro as us. While on Jalan Ampang that day, I witnessed a foreigner struggling to cross the road. She managed to get halfway, rocked back and forth before she finally freaked out as a motorcycle was coming her way in the middle of the road. She ran backwards. Ok.. I have to admit I was having a good laugh watching her cross the road.
On the other hand, when a Malaysian is crossing the road, its a whole other story all together. They do it until sometimes when you are driving, you'd just wish u could yell at them "Oi lu punya bapak punya jalan ar!!" I was watching a Harith Iskandar stand-up comedy at work one day and found what he said so funny but true. I remember him saying Singaporeans would cross the road only at a certain designated area. And at the designated area, they wait again for the green man to start blinking...
And only then, they would cross the road.

But to a Malaysian... Aiyo the whole damn road is a designated area. We cross whenever we want and where ever we want. OMG he is soooooo true. Coz me and my friend do it everyday!!! What to do... We're Malaysians maa...So I'm proud to be one. But I'm still not as pro as my fellow friend yet. Salute you la KheeLung!! Lol

And with our "Oh I'm so busy" schedule, to renew our passports, usually we would choose the day that we think would have the least amount of people queuing up to do so at our government departments. Oh did you know that you could get your passport 2 hours afta you've made payment on that day itself. Pretty efficient ya?? Really??... So which day would you choose?? I chose a friday but not TY.
After her recent stint at the Pusat Bandar Damansara branch, TY would definitely advise you not to go on a monday to renew your passport. She reached at 12pm. Ngam ngam nearly lunch just to find that there are about 100 people waiting in front of her. Then when it was finally TY's turn to take nombor, "Maaf.. Sistem komputer kami tergendala", said the officer. And to add to TY's agony, the officer scolded her for not lining up at 7:30am. According to TY, "Just because she had to come to work at 7:30 in the morning, she expects everyone to line up at 7:30 in the morning with her... Siao cha boh... I want to come at 12, I'll come at 12 laaa. " So don't ever go renew passport on Monday! In the end, TY got it done on a wed. She still went there at about 12 noon. Screw 7:30am people!!!

This time no me

I've realized that previous posts before this were all about me, myself and I. So I've decided to write about others this time. Lets start with the people that I see almost every other day.

Let me ask you something. How well do you know your neighbors? Yes.. the ones who live beside you right now. In my opinion, I know mine just about the right amount. Nothing more, nothing less but just the amount I'd wanna know. You just might find that neighbours are pretty interesting people to look at and talk to.

Lets start with the old lady near me. Almost everyday, Mrs.K will start her day by screaming that the drains are too dirty or the windows are not clean...bla..bla..bla Yep, everyday you can hear her yelling at her 2 poor maids. A couple of them did manage to escape to freedom before through the garbage compartments. And since the incident where she watered my granddaddy like a plant a zillion years ago, they do not speak much to one another. What a pity.. Maybe not.
Yep, that's sorta her.

Not far far away, lives Mr and Mrs V- an elderly couple. Mr V is a quiet man but not Mrs.V. She's a spy!! Spying on other people's life through her windows is what she does best. How I know this... Coz my grandmama would spy on her too and then comes back and tell us that she is spying on our house. See the hide and seek games these elderly people play. And then there's her maid. Now, this maid is sorta like Cinderella who sings (She sings out loud to the plants and not very well I might add) & is waiting for Prince Charming to rescue her. And with all that hoping and wishing, Cinderella's wish did come true. Prince Not So Charming turned out to be the guard in the next lane. Yep a forbidden love affair.

Shhh... do not let Mrs V know that he comes to the fair maiden's rescue every night. Imagine the catastrophe.

Then down the lane, you'll find the Scottish lady with her husband. She's extremely lovely and still thinks she is in Scotland as she reads in the garden IN THE HOT SUN. Auntie!! This is Malaysia not Glasgow. But it was really sweet of her to tell me that when I hail to Scotland next year, she will write to her friend there to have a look out for me. And I love her Scottish accent. However, although she's really sweet and all, I don't understand what she says half the time. Wonder how long it'll take me to learn Doric( a form of Scots which phrases are used in an Aberdonian's everyday speech) "Fit like?" means "How are you?"

The Gossip Queen award goes to a doctor living nearby as she will know anything ranging from who suffered from what illness (okay she should know that) , who died (still in the medical context), who gave birth, who moved away and why, who fought with who, who was not on talking terms with who, whose maid ran away..bla..bla..bla... Anything you'd wanna know about anyone, she would be the go to lady. Doctors do gossip a lot...yea?

Then there's also the hot air stewardess who lives nearby and who looks way hotter than her husband. But sad thing is whenever you see her, she does not smile, does not say 'hi' and tries to avoid any eye contact with you. I think the stewarding job with all the SMILING :D while she goes "Thank you for flying with us... Hope to see you on board with us again... Have a nice trip" has taken the toll on her. Thus no more smiley gal when she's on solid ground. See how different a person can be. Work attitude completely different from self attitude.

A walk further down the road and you will find the ang moh-asian couple. Anyway, this couple likes to show their affection to the world. Of all the rooms in their big huge home, they decide to have make out sessions in the kitchen where it is visible to everyone. Seriously, is it something that we need to see or not?? See also must wash eye laa... Nice kitchen by the way.

Actually, we don't really need to see this. Do we?

And do not let me get started on how some of them can be so ignorant about Road Traffic Accidents. There's this dutch family who throws a Frisbee on the road while being barefooted while cars are moving up and down. Seriously, once I had to slow down to a stop as they were running across the road to catch the damn thing. Actually, I should not have slowed down... Should have been more Malaysian...HonkHonkHonkHonk....And speed past them.. Lol....

Wow...this is really long. I think I should stop. Rambled enough. Did you make it till the end? Or you stopped half way?? See, I told you I know quite a bit about them.
